I bought this July 2011 in order to experiment with Android and it's just OK. The android market worked on it, so that's the most important thing. I don't have experience with any other android phones, but this definitely seems a bit slow. Angry birds worked OK, but it's too slow for Angry birds space. The wi-fi range is also lacking; I get much better range with all my other wi-fi devices. It's also not as loud as other phones I've owned. One other annoyance, it has two sim card slots. Assuming you only have one sim card, it will still frequently prompt you for which card to use. I have to say that the phone has held up, and i do abuse them, so i guess the build is adequate. Oh, and there is an analog TV in there, but you'll be hard pressed to find an analog station in the US.

I'm sure there are some newer models out there, so I wouldn't bother with this one unless it's dirt cheap. It's still a lot more useful than the junk phone that you might get with a prepaid plan.
