Very Nice Little Light! - edit, LED's burn out and swicth acts up!, December 19, 2005
This review is from: Special Forces 21 LED Extreme Beam Flashlight (Misc.)
*Edit: This light might be nice, but over time the LED's will start to dim and some burn out, also the switch is cheap because it acts up all the time now. It was not heavily used or abused either. Not worth very much at all.
The Special Forces Extreme Beam LED Flashlight is a very bright and compact flashlight. Its casing is made of anodized aluminum sealed with o-rings to be waterproof. It is perfect for its intended uses of emergencies, camping, automobiles, boats (would most likely sink if dropped in water though), and around the house/garage. Don't look directly at the beam from any close up view, It IS that bright!
To turn it on, you screw the end about 1/4 turn which also seals the o-ring at the same time. The black rubber push button on the end will activate the light also, but will turn off once you let go of the push button (OK to flash the light I guess). The light shines further than I expected since it isn't a focused beam flashlight, as the distance increases the light pattern becomes slightly bigger; but still illuminates great and does its job just fine.
Mine came with cheap batteries inside, but they say it will last a long time and so far has done so. With some real good batteries it would probably have an awesome amount of usage time then. It is perfect to fit in your pocket or a woman's purse, I plan to get a couple more to keep in the vehicles.

This flashlight is one of the brightest I've even owned. It lights up a room very well. The light is a bright white light, instead of the yellow lights many flashlights give off. It allows you to distinguish colors very easily, even in tight spaces, like the inside of a computer.

We have two, and 50% is not bad for gambling, but we sure thought they'd both work, but one absolutely will not turn on. The button on the end does not toggle the light on and off, so what's the point? Avoid the hassle, go with a different product. I hope the other lady enjoys this thing in her purse, turning on and off when she least expects it! The batteries will drain for sure in a backpack. It's only redemtive quality is that it is fairly bright.
