Need the hose to be connected since my unit gave bucket full error when there was about 10% water in the bucket. Value product and love the unit. Really QUIET, can't even hear the compressor turn on and off, all ya hear is the blower fan, real nice. Much better than my previous unit which only lasted 6 years a Dayton from Grainger. Also China made, ain't they all? For these type. It works great so far, dried out my basement in less than a day from not having one on for a week or so, after my previous one died, and it looks like it wasn't drying for a long time before. This Danby works great!Only thing I don't understand is the non standard water drain fitting, my garden hose didn't screw onto it, like on all my previous units. The supplied hose is kinda short, so I had to relocate till I get an extension hose for it. 2 year Warranty! QUIET, ...the fan keeps running when it's plugged in and on, whether it's running compressor or not, odd? Maybe it keeps air circulating, but my last one turned off, but the one before that also kept fan running, so who knows which is better, I would think off saves a few penny in juice, but constant air flow in cellar keep stability air temp humidity? Lets see how long this lasts, it's GREAT so far QUIET, effective. Amazon had best price for this unit also, when you factor shipping and tax. Amazon always wins! My business. Kudos to Amazon Prime... The item shipped in it's normal box and damage was a concern, but there was none. It was hooked up and running very quickly. Definately the quietest Dehumidifier I have ever had. The fan is the only noise it makes. It doesnt sound like an old refrigerator running like the old LG it replaced.Within 12 hours it took my 1500 sq/ft basement from 57% humidity to 45% humidity. I would say that's a |
